MRI’s fixed attenuators consist of a section of waveguide and a precisely-cut resistive vane inserted in the broad wall of the waveguide. These attenuators are available in values of 3, 6, 10, 20 and 40 dB. The fixed attenuators are available from 18 to
180GHz in nine standard waveguide sizes.
